Wuyi Rock Oolong Enchanting Fragrance Rui Xiang
Wuyi rock oolong is produced in Wuyi mountain region of Fujian province, China. The Wuyi mountain area has been listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site for its abundance of species and rich history. There is a Chinese saying, "Every cliff has tea bushes. If there is no cliff, there are no tea bushes." Owing to its soil, as well as the spring water that flows year around from the cliffs above, Wuyi oolong is especially rich in minerals. Wuyi rock oolong is usually harvested in the spring, traditionally charcoal-fired through the summer and the fall.
Enchanting Fragrance or Bai Rui Xiang, literally "strong fragrance" in Chinese, is one varietal of the Wuyi rock oolongs, not commonly grown but indigenous to the core producing areas of Wuyi mountains. It is very fragrant and fruity, has a clear golden liquor, hint of pomegranate and vanilla notes, creamy, with a naturally sweet finish that lingers in your mouth and nose.
