Phoenix Dan Cong Wudong High Mountain Ao Fu Hou Oolong Tea
This is a very special Phoenix oolong tea from the true origin, a rare varietal and charming fragrance that the locals call it the "tea of all fragrances". The tea name is based on the local dialect where the original mother tree was grown in the back side of a depression in the ground of a tea garden in Dan Hu Chun (丹湖村) mountain village. Ao Fu Hou belongs to the gardenia fragrance family, but has multiply layers of different fragrances than the dominant gardenia. It is fruity and sweet, with notes of tropical fruits. The locals call it "sweeter than your first love". If you are a dan cong oolong lover, indulge yourself with this rare tea.
Phoenix Dan Cong Oolong is known for its large variety of fragrances and the strong sweet aftertaste. The dry leaves usually have twisted darker color. The wet leaves have a reddish edge due to an oxidation process unique to the making of oolong tea. The tea is then moderately baked for final consumption.
