Description

Bamboo Leaf Green, A True Mountain Treasure

Zhu Ye Qing, or “Bamboo Leaf Green,” has become one of the most celebrated teas in modern Chinese tea culture, prized for its exceptional quality, purity, and distinctive flavor. Grown at high elevations in the mist-shrouded Emei Mountains of Sichuan Province—one of China’s most renowned tea-growing regions—this tea is hand-harvested with great care, using only tender buds from the early spring flush.

This particular Zhu Ye Qing comes from the Tu Cha varietal, a traditional local cultivar known for its slim, uniformly shaped leaves. Unlike the larger-leafed modern Bai Hao varietal commonly used in mass production, Tu Cha offers a more refined and nuanced flavor that is highly favored by discerning tea connoisseurs.

True to our sourcing philosophy, we only select teas from authentic origins and core growing areas that capture the true spirit and terroir of the tea. This commitment to quality is vividly evident in the cup: when brewed in a glass vessel, the tender buds stand upright like a miniature bamboo forest — making it both a pleasure to drink and a joy to prepare.

Zhu Ye Qing is a rare and exquisite tea that appeals to enthusiasts around the world. Its aroma carries vegetal notes with subtle hints of fruit notes and a sweet aftertaste. It is full-bodied yet remarkably fresh and soothing—like breathing in the crisp air of the Emei mountains.

A true mountain treasure for green tea lovers.
