2019 Pristine Gua Feng Zhai Abor Tree Sheng Pu-erh Tea
In the spring of 2019, among the historical draught condition in Yunnan, Victoria was willing to travel far through the dangerous mountain dirt road to Gua Feng Zhai village, at the border to Laos, about 2 hours by truck from Yiwu town. The tea named after the village, literally "windy village" in Chinese, is one of the most famous teas in puerh community, was a hidden treasure due to its extreme remote location and lack of transportation. Since its discovering in the 2000s, it has become one of the most thought after puerh teas in recent years. Due to its high demand and rare quality, it is extremely difficult to get for the real deal, not the fake named wrappers or mixed-up named or so on the market.
Reflecting its bio-diverse growing environment, this tea has strong floral and fruity notes, very smooth and creamy, with strong huigan throughout the steepings. You'd feel very contentment on the body after the tea session. It surely showcases the very essence of high quality pristine pu'erh tea.
Note: Our teas are 100% pure leaves from the village mountains, first spring harvest, no blends, no intermingling of leaves from other villages or with inferior pu-erh leaves. This is a truly special tea that tea connoisseurs would not want to miss.
Just a little annotate: The locals call the tea that grows at nearby the villagers' homes as "Jia Bian", and priced less than the teas sold far from the village's tea mountains. While Jia Bian grown tea are still very good, on Victoria's sourcing trips, she made sure that her tea is not from the Jia Bian, but true from the nearby mountains.
