Artisan Junci Porcelain Large Zen Tea Bowl Charcoal-fired Masterpiece

The Jun kiln, in Yuzhou, Henan province, is one of the five famous kilns hailing from the Song dynasty, about 960-1279 years ago. The Jun kiln is renowned for its ever-changing glaze. In fact, for good Jun porcelain, no piece has the exact same glaze as any other. 

This tea bowl is a great piece to add to your collection, made by the famed master Zhao Zhanchao, 赵占超，who is a certified Jun Ci porcelain master accredited by the China National Art Porcelain government authority. Charcoal firing is a difficult technique that requires master skills. This cup produced a rare Yaobian that looks like impressionist art, reminiscent of Monet's "Water Lilies", with intriguing elements that fire the imagination. The glaze on the rim is like a gem, indicative of high quality earth stone and high-firing techniques. The crackles on the glaze add to the enticement. 

It is certainly one of a kind in the Jun porcelain teaware world. This piece is also heavy, feels very comfortable in the hand, and is perfect for personal use. The bottom has the master Zhao's signature along with a Zen phrase, "Pin Chang Xing", meaning "contentment".  The other cup's phrase is "Da Zi Zai", meaning "pure freedom or liberty".  Each cup is a beautiful piece of art that will surely enrich your authentic tea experience. 

The cups each include a certificate of authentication, signed by the master artisan.
