This teapot mimics the natural shape of a lotus pod in a simplified way. The wide open mouth makes it easy to add large loose leaves and the straight spout makes pouring a breeze, as you can quickly stop your pour without dripping any precious liquor. Note that the spout filter is not the machine made spherical shape more commonly found on the market, but is a hand crafted nine-hole spout filter. 

This teapot is crafted by the highly skilled Zhou Pin who has been crafting teapot for 20 years. She's the widow of the late senior master Wu Jun that Victoria had sourced teapots from. It is a great value and an opportunity to own a genuine Zisha teapot. The clay is a rare aged Duan Ni from her family collection of authentic Zisha clay materials. 

Care: Empty the leaves and rinse with hot water after each use. Use a soft clean cloth to clean and dry. For seasoning the teapot, gently touch and rub the teapot with a soft cloth. Over a period of time, the teapot will be seasoned with a natural soft glow, which teapot lovers call "raising the teapot".
