During the past several years, as a result of the fervent pursuit of national forest straight up tall Pu-erh trees, a newly discovered patch of forest uncovered Pu-erh trees that secretly grew in the forest for centuries. No one knows when these trees were abandoned, but they are likely as old as three to five hundred years old. Peach Village is located within the pristine national forest of Man Zhuan, one of the six ancient Pu-erh tea mountains. It is called Peach Village though there is really no village at all, nor even peach trees. But villagers may have lived there hundreds years ago and moved away during a Qing dynasty war. These trees are straight up and very tall, about a height of between 8-25 meters, which Pu-erh insiders call it Gao Gan, meaning very tall high post. Standing under the trees, one can only see the sky through the scattered leaves. One has to climb up the trees to harvest the leaves. It should come as no surprise that this tea is the new dark horse of great Yiwu Pu-erh teas.

Since the Pu-erh trees are scattered to grow in the forest, Peach Village Pu-erh tea has very low yield, very rare and difficult to obtain. Victoria has traveled to Man Zhuan several times in the past, and always wanted to source a great Pu-erh from this famous mountain. Peach Village is the cream of the top among the six ancient Pu-erh tea mountains. An experienced tea drinker can certainly taste the pristine forest environment in the liquor. The fragrance permeates the liquor and flows delightfully through your mouth and nose, providing more enjoyment than a fragrance that simply floats over the tea liquor. The liquor is very smooth, juicy, and thick, with noticeable Hou Yun lingering in your throat, something that Pu-erh connoisseurs love to detect. Overall, a very satisfying sensory experience that relaxes your mind and body. We think it has great potential for aging well as just being an exceptional tea.

The wrapper was designed and drawn by Xishuangbanna artist He. It displays the location of Peach Village and the locations among the famous six ancient tea mountains, that is Ge Deng, Man Zhuan, Mang Zi, You Le, Yi Bang, and Yiwu.
