This tea hails from the famed Nannuo mountain of Menghai, Yuannan. Nannuo mountain has some of the oldest pu-erh trees in Yunnan. This black tea is harvested from arbor trees at an elevation of around 1500-1800 meters by the Zeqing family who has been resides in Duoyi village for generations. Zeqing's grandpa used to work for the famous Menghai Tea Factory in the 1940s. The picture below of grandma Zeqing was taken by Victoria at her home while sourcing this tea.

This Pu-erh black tea offers a distinctive taste profile. Unlike traditional black tea, this variety undergoes a lighter oxidation process, allowing it to age gracefully over time. The tea leaves are then hand-pressed into elegant dragon pearl shapes. This unique processing method results in a remarkably smooth and mellow cup, full-bodied with a sweet aftertaste. Its versatility makes it an excellent choice for daily enjoyment. This tea is forgiving, retaining its flavor through multiple infusions.

For the optimal brewing experience, consider using the gongfu brewing method or a modified version. Watch the dragon pearls unfurl in a glass teapot, revealing a beautiful spectacle. Whether you savor it as a morning pick-me-up or an afternoon delight, this tea is sure to impress.

Each dragon pearl varies in weight from 7.5 to 8g as each is individually hand pressed. Each holiday flair gift pack contains 3 individually wrapped pearls.
