Wuyi Oolong Fo Guo Rock Rou Gui Tea Cinnamon
Rou Gui (Cinnamon) is the bush varietal of Wuyi rock oolong tea. Fo Guo Rock is one of the major 32 rocks inside the world natural heritage site that grow the real Wuyi rock oolongs. High quality Rou Gui has a very distinctive cinnamon fragrance. This tea has strong cinnamon fragrance, with undertones of cocoa beans and roasted dark cherry, with a creamy texture and sweet aftertaste that lingers in your mouth and nose.
Wuyi Mountain of Fujian province is known for its abundance of species and rich tea history. Almost all of the rocky cliffs there grow tea. The quality of Wuyi rock oolong tea varies widely. Wuyi rock oolong teas from the core 32-rock producing areas are the most sought-after premium oolongs, which the locals call "Zhen Yan", meaning the authentic real rock tea. "Wuyi rock" teas produced outside of the core producing area, as far as Jian Yang county (more than 100 miles away), do not have the authentic character of Wuyi rock oolong, so they are sold at a much cheaper price.
